Unexpected Moments Poem by Dee Corpolongo

As I was headed for the store
suddenly much to my surprise
you appeared from out of no where
with much joy seen in your eyes

You said 'it's been such a long time'
and hugged me closely w/o letting go
You said 'let's take a walk together
there's some things I want you to know

So we walked along to the seashore
a million stars and a big half moon
we laughed and spoke of good times
and how we broke up way too soon

Enjoying the crisp blowing winds
against our faces with sheer delight
You turned and then you kissed me
making this a very special night

You spoke with so much passion
saying I hope we can make this last
by starting over a new relationship
and forgetting about the past

And so as a new day begins
leaving yet a new made memory
A starry night of such contentment
and a new start for both you and me.
