Unforgetable Great Films Poem by Sandra Feldman

Unforgetable Great Films

They're Fantastic!
We take it so for granted,
That, A film, is a film, is a film,
Nothing more than just, a film,
But, They're so much more than just that,
A great film is a piece of art in movement,
An artistic revelation, a creation come to life,
That was written by the hand,
But was born in the heart,
With human interaction, feelings,
Playing a monumental part,
A sort of falling in love,
From the very start.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Don't you just 'love' certain films?
Even if you see them over again, they still thrill you, become part of you. That's also what makes them so great, the way they communicate

As someone who is a gigantic fan of 'Casablanca', I cannot but agree with you.. ' Here's looking at you kid' That lines just makes me cry.. Films like that, and many more 'Sleepless in Seatle', 'Pretty Woman', 'Love Actually'.. Classics like 'Annie Hall'... They don't just influence us personally, they influence a whole generation... It is pity that nowadays, too many filmmakers indulge into 'consumable' cinema rather than bringing forth more timeless works of art.. Thank you for sharing Sandra. It is a very valuable poem.
