Unlikely Friends Poem by Nidhi Agrawal

Unlikely Friends

She looked for relationships
in the most unlikeliest of places
With strangers at bus stops
With loners in book shops
No wonder they looked lost
that she only wanted to talk.
But, how could they know
that their smiles meant more
than just a friendly greeting.
How could they know
that it was her only respite
in an otherwise dreary life.
So they continued to bestow
their momentary love on her
And she kept finding friendly faces
in the most unlikeliest of places.

Sometimes tiny morsels of attention are better than none at all.

Another original thought. Lovely poem. It reminds me of someone I know. Me!
