~ Until The Day I Die~ Poem by Amanda Seltrecht

~ Until The Day I Die~

I said until the day I die I will spill my heart for you
Until the day that I die I swear that it is true
You said until the day I die you will spill your heart for me
Until the day I die you will forever care for me
That was not the case when you broke my heart
Now I cannot fully function when we are apart
You said I promise I will love you forever and always
But that was awhile ago and I have counted the days
Do you fell the same way
Or would you leave me astray
Because I am weak it is true
Because I am afraid to know the answer
Do you want me to as my heart keeps falling faster
I have waited to cross this line to the only thing that is true
So I will not hide it is time to try anything to be with you

you had a couple misspelled words. Don't worry I do the same thing. But I just want to say I know the pain this poem speaks of and I think you did a great job

after reading your biography, i can feel the pain just remember that life does not remain the same. everything changes like the tide against the shore, but it will continue to beat, in this world forever more. The rhyming lines are separated at the end which causes a problem in the reading. Otherwise, It is a solid work. The early statements of love set the stage nicely. GW62

My poem talks about what I person meant to me and all the nostalgia I felt, while yours talks about something like a pain, a nostalgia too, but deepier. i'm glad you liked the poems you read. Hugs: *
