Up And Gone Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Up And Gone

Too many claim they try to fix.
What is not broken.
That should be left the way it is.
Then leave a mess.
With no reason spoken.
And quick to disappear through an exit.

Up.
And gone.
To leave behind those medicated.
Up.
And gone.
Creators of their messes made.
Up.
And gone.
They come and go to unload.
What they know will be sold.
Up.
And gone.
People like this love confusion.
Up.
And gone.
Intending they do to deceive.
And happy doing their misdeeds.
Up.
And gone.
Tyrants of demented minds.
Up.
And gone.
To do to others with their druthers.
Mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers.

Too many try to fix.
What isn't broken.
And they just might be the folks.
Who hate to see your boat float.
Up.
And gone.
Don't waste time to give it to 'em.
Up.
And gone.
See them coming then run.
Up.
And and gone.
Keep your feet moving.
Up.
And gone.
Keep your feet moving.
Stall them all.
Keep your feet moving.
Leave them gone.
