Up From In Between Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Up From In Between

Up from in between.
The sad and madness.
To leave.
Observing deniers,
Carrying loads of baggage unpacked.
Routinely strapped to issues.
And personal tragedies.
Shared in exchanging of grief.

The Earth spins.
Reliable as the Sun rises to set.
24/7.
And fence sitters remain fixed.
Undecided.
As to which side of life they belong.
Unable to move along.
To leave what is wrong behind them.

Although...
Finding this orbit of repetition,
Soothing to a submission.
Of a noncommitment.
As if this is a quest to choose.
Fed to feed an acceptance.
To pretend not expected.
Yet,
Prepared and anticipating to receive!
