Urge Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Urge

Rating: 5.0

I can get fragrance of henna
As soft wind lifts the curtain
Revealing a streak of milky beam
Lying lightly on the edge of window;

I can hear the sound of bangles
As wild flowers whisper among
Each other widening petals to catch
The silence of night unnoticed;

I can hear the rustling of dress
As tender leaves bend to pour
Few accumulated drops of dew holding
Horns of majestic hills in their transparency;

I can hear the silence of time
As you tarry on the cold stairs
Listening to the beating of an unruly
Heart going to fall in love in the thick of spring.
