Values Long Gone Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Values Long Gone

From both sides observing.
With intellect.
Or ignorance not to accept.
Yet...
What appears today some may regret,
Is a presentation...
Of our contradictions upclose to face.
Leaving those who live pretentiously,
Unable to erase the reality of it.
Yet will waste time arguing over values.
Long gone to have been replaced,
By a degradation that has depreciated...
A quality of life.
That continues to market decadence.
In glorified acceptance and approval of it.
