V-igorous defense of divine duty
I-s truly not a joke;
C-omplete spiritual strength
K-eeps you carrying your
Y-oke.

O-nward to vigorous defense,
B-ecause the devil is roaming;
L-ike a hungry roaring lion,
I-t's time for him to go hunting.
G-er ready for vigorous defense,
A-s the night is about to fall;
C-hoose to hold the Lord's lamp,
I-n defending your soul.
O-n the twenty-fourth of January, let your life exercise prudence;
N-ever let your spirit surrender, make a vigorous defense.
