Vishudhan (Indian Film) Poem by anisha Kolencherry

Vishudhan (Indian Film)

Rating: 5.0

A young catholic priest
with full energy and Spirit of enthusiasm
takes  charge of a church in a rural area.

A young Holy priest,
who has a personal relationship with God
as evidenced by prayer,
love for the Catholic Church
and its teachings,
generous, able to work well with others,
interest in serving people
respect for other people,
openness to different races, ethnic groups and cultures
is presented in this film.

He has normal social skills,
capacity and desire to learn,
healthy self-image,
ability to spend time alone.

Most of all  he has the
   courage to take risks.

There is  an Old age home.

The priest is enthusiastic to do only GOOD.
He works day and Night
desiring only to serve.

This priest  meets Sister Sophi
She wanted to follow
 the footsteps of Mother Theresa.

But working in the home for the aged
she comes to know how they manipulate
and really kill old people
to provide dead bodies
to experiment with in the medical college.

She informs it to the priest.
They two together try to
bring to lime light
the cruelty of the managers.

The manager creates a fake story
against the priest
that he is in love with the Sister.

The Bishop and his authorities
condemns him and sends him away.
They are forced to leave
and live together.

Oneday  as Sr. sophy was praying
in their home,
the cruel manager comes in
and shoots her.
Minutes later the priest comes in
and sees the sister dying and
takes her to the hospital.
But she dies.

The priest buries the sister
He cries loud on the grave
of the beloved sister.

One night the priest goes into
The home of the manager
and kills him..

This is the story of  Visudhan
a Malayalam movie
from south India.

The Priest and the Sister
undergoes so many problems.
They encounter God
in standing for justice.

Catholic church disowns them.
Society speaks ill of them.
The are confronted with
a terrible reality.

Divine Truth is a controversial and  spiritual .
The theme of   Divine Love,
the individual way of responding to the call of love
in concrete situations is wonderfully pictured here.

The theme how devil is powerful and how he influences
the rich men and women to commit serious crimes.

The Banality of evil is pictured very well.

These rich people have no conscience.
They will do any crime for private gains.

(Indian Malayalam film that influenced in my life.directed by Vyshakh and Starring Kunchacko Boban and Miya.)

i too saw Visudhan..... the poetess has really portrayed the film very well. it is difficult to write it in the form of a poem. but since poemhunter asked for the film you have seen and to write about it, i think the poetess wrote about it.. the catholic church, its strict rules and regulations and the priests who want to bring to limelight the injustices is very well presented..... the sister Sophy and her work in the home for the aged and what all she found there is key to the film... and final tragedy, , the killing of Sophy and the priest bursting into loud cries as he was burying her....... and the final decision.... to kill the rich man.......... thank you dear poetess that you wrote about it. tony
