Vision Of Destiny Poem by Obed dela Cruz

Sometimes, your mind would travel and wander along
And think of the deepness of life and its secrets.
People say no matter what, you have to be strong
Just be careful so you won’t bear the world’s regrets.

Our prayers are said from places to another,
As we seek a Place of Refuge where there is rest.
We need a haven ‘til certain things are over
Having faith that one more lifetime can be possessed.

Because night and day, mind wonders how it would feel
To take a rest and be cradled above the sky
Where the stars can be in our very grasp for real
And then radiate its brightness as we fly high.

Come, let us walk on the burning rays of the sun
Like those heroes who left their own world for glory,
Those who carried a dream that cannot be undone
Because of their humble hearts that wrote history.

Yes, like them, there is a Vision we need to share
And it is crying out to the gates of heaven.
This time, let there be no more shadow of despair
Because there is a destiny Life has given.

So let us keep in mind to never lose this sight
As our eyes become fixed toward one direction.
For what our hearts see cannot be darkened by night,
Because strong spirits do not give up their Vision.

And truly, there’s a Will that moves to endure
Which even the sands of time can never injure.
