Vista Outside The Window(Ci Poetry) Poem by Perdita Young (Hanna Wang)

Vista Outside The Window(Ci Poetry)

Tune: Swallows Flying off the Pavilion

The view from the window is picturesque, lo!
At the Zebra Lines traffic streams stop or go.
Night is cold as water, with flickering lights
When cars confront cars, alternating as if in battlefield.
Fancy glories are intensified by the neon glow,
Towers and edifices already dreamy, I guess so.

Indoors the lamp lights are dim and small,
While outdoors the snowflakes freely fall.
Like petals or catkins they fly with the wind
And finally settle eagerly on twigs and roofs.
Worldly affairs are fleeting, drifting like clouds,
At the window I stand gazing, upon this tears drop.
