Waiting For Snow Storm Jonas Poem by NHIEN NGUYEN MD

Now, it's one month into winter time
My Koi pond surface is covered with ice
Bare branches look up at gloomy winter sky.
This morning, the sky appears too lazy
The sun woke up but mists spread to skyline.
Several groups of Canadian geese fly in straight lines
The low sky is densely white under sunless sky.
Today, I stay home because it's not my work day
I have my snowblower ready with its full tank of gas.
This evening, heavy snow storm Jonas will arrive
And snow will fall for the next two days and nights.

CHỜ BÃO TUYẾT JONAS

Bây giờ một tháng mùa đông
Hồ Koi đông đá, cành trơ ngó trời.
Sáng nay, trời qúa ươn lười
Mặt trời thức dậy, sương mờ chân mây.
Vài hàng ngỗng xám bay quanh
Trời thì không nắng một màn trắng phau.
Hôm nay, tôi nghỉ ở nhà
Sẵn sàng máy thổi, thùng xăng đổ đầy.
Tối nay, bão tuyết phủ dầy
Rồi hai ngày tới đêm ngày tuyết rơi.
