Waking Poem by David Harris

Waking

Rating: 5.0

The waking sun sparkles
on the morning dew
as each plant and bush
shows off its jewellery.
Yawning mouths open
as sleepy eyes awake,
arms reach out to heaven
as morning stretches partake.
The world is waking up
for another day
hoping for a better one
than it was yesterday.
