Waking From A Cat Nap - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Waking from a light cat nap just now
my special beautiful dear I could feel
and smell you all around me right here
and it makes me feel so very good.
I want to thank you so much my dear
because my nap was beginning to be filled with nightmares,
but I could smell you first and then felt
your presence and your loving arms around me dear
and I want to thank you so very much
for giving me such deep comfort.
You are the best my Angel grand and I give you
all the sweet tender kisses from my heart and soul
to say thank you Kira and you are the greatest woman.
I love you so very much and am stricken by the
greatness of your wonder.
I love you babe and thank you in full and give you endless kisses.
I was lying here my dear right on the couch
taking a cat nap with my cat Max lying right on top me,
and then my dreams for the last half an hour I guess
were just getting very bothersome when I could
start to feel you my Angel Queen right beside me here
as first I could smell your hair and pale skin
as I told you the other day with a sort of lotion,
soap, or shampoo you use but through a million other senses
tells me it is you, I think it is in the comfort
I can feel along with it as you pulled me in your arms,
and then you helped me lightly drift awake to full
so it wouldn't scare me in sudden.
Thank you babe you truly are my gorgeous everything
and I want to thank you by holding you so tight,
so Kira dear feel my hand in yours as I take it tight
and feel me take you in my arms and whisper in your ear
Kira you truly are so great,
you are a diamond in the rough and your Michael loves you
more than anyone can know.
Kira you are my goddess, my best friend, my Angel, and my Queen,
and I will spend eternity thanking you because
you are my adored hero and everything.
