Waking Up Poem by Sandra Feldman

Waking Up

When you finally wake up,
And you realize All is lost,
How does a ship feel,
When it cannot find its coast?
The vagrant journey somehow ends,
The Winds keep flowing full of doubt,
But no matter what you try,
You know, you won't see out.

You reach a point in life,
Where you tire and give up,
What's the use of so much fighting
When injustice doesn't stop?
On the contrary it heightens,
Coming all from way on top,
Power is Corruption's partner
Of that there is little doubt.
