Watching You, Watching Me (For G.) Poem by Eila Mahima Jaipaul

Watching You, Watching Me (For G.)

Rating: 5.0

eyes wide
and lips slightly parted
I watch you in awe.
stranded in the light and mystery
that fill your eyes
there is no place to hide
no point in breaking my gaze.
unable to remove myself from your grace
I watch.
a thousand miles travel in the flash of your smile.
and I think...
you are,
simply put,
beauty understood
without reason
for knowing.
