We Wish Poem by David Harris

We Wish

Rating: 5.0

We watch from far off places,
tragedies of old and young.
We wish that we could something to help them.
We have only words to give,
as our arms won’t stretch out there.
We try to make our message
as helpful as we can.
Sometimes it is not good enough
and our words fall on stony ground
as those we try to help have other plans.
If for some reason,
our message of hope gets through.
They might thank us,
and then they might not.
It does not really matter
if they do or do not.
Thank us that is.
Just so long as we’ve been able to help
them get through another day.
That is all that really matter
and all I have to say.

David>>>Sometimes all a person needs is a few words of hope, console.or reason to soldier on...Poets possess this impactive gift, and it is my belief that whether it be in form of a poem, comment, or message....that as a whole a writers words are a solid source of resolve, for many....Very nice true-to-life offering, my friend!
