What Are We? - Poem by Omar Tahir

what are we?

I wish i knew what we are, now that your not MY star,
am i or you a friend, no no that i cant comprehend

Its difficult to say, it teases me every day,
I want to ask i want to know, but im too scared to show

incase i make things worse and lay on another curse,
i dont want to give up on you, but i only want what you want too

So tell me what we are, are we friends? should i call you my ex?
if you cant tell either and are left in a hush,
take your time baby, theres no rush - or just send me a text

So tell me what you want, and ill be happy to make you happy,
should i wait because i would and never hate

or should i move on and forever be begone?

either way im sure ill be okay

because ill never regret; that day we met.
