What Color Is Racism (Easier To See) Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

What Color Is Racism (Easier To See)

Rating: 5.0

What color is racism.
Before it is taught to see on one's face.
What color is bigotry.
Before it is felt,
In one's heart to take place.
What color is love.
No one sees but yet wished to get.
And why is it less shown.
But a hatred to have is easy to depict it.
With a reason why it exist.
By those who call themselves Christians.
To say they are followers of Jesus Christ.
But hate Jews, Blacks and all those of color.
And few of them know Jesus was a Jew.
So was Hitler's grandmother.
She was a Jew too.

What color is hypocrisy.
You know.
That kind that seems found all around.
What color is honesty, truth and deception.
And between those three,
Which one seems to be easier to see.
And why is deception more acceptable than truth.
Deception has no color.
Is that the reason why those colorless,
Choose deception to know they can hide it best.
