What Fruit For Ex-Spouses? ..... [humor; Very Short; Fruit; Ph-Inspired]

Rating: 5.0

It is said 'An apple a day keeps the Doctor away.'
Hmm? Does a fig a day keep creditors at bay?

John Westlake says 'ANY fruit will work instead,
but you really must learn to throw AT their head! '

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
i wrote a poem about apples. john westlake wrote a clever comment. i answered his comment with this poem. at first i entitled it 'What Fruit For Ex-wives? '. but let's have equality! ! ! why not ex-husbands? before i used fig, i wrote pear, and before that i used peach. i think fig sounds better, i have been picking figs recently from our tree, AND maybe 'fig' will be more often recognized by some PH members from outside the u.s.a. :) bri

What! ! ! ! ? Jez thinks i can't carry a single fruit of approximately 14 to 15 pounds, COVERED WITH THORNS? ? ? ! ! AND she is offering to help me? i'll let HER carry it herself, ....as many as she wants to. bri :) p.s. my habit for years has been to not respond to comments on the poem's page, but to send a message to the reader via PH. thus, i did nor respond here to LKY in January.
