What Is God? What Is Spirituality? Poem by Arun Maji

You must have unique ability
To see those which are apparently unseen
To hear those which are apparently inaudible
To feel those which are apparently impalpable.

God is unseen, inaudible and impalpable. To appreciate God, you must have unique ability. Now the question is what God is. God has different meaning to different people. And possibly, none is wrong. God is conceptualised as per ability of different people.

To me, God is the source of all creation. God is the centre of all creation. If big bang is true, then possibly the object upon which big bang happened is the source of all creation. And therefore, that source object is God.

If my body is fragmented and it is spread to hundred different places, then I exist in those hundred different places.

Because big bang claims, all creation (including you and I)is the result of big bang, then you and I are also result of the source object upon which big bang happened. Thereby, God (the source object)particle exist within you and me.

That source object (God)must be infinitely large and powerful to create this infinite universe (actually multiverse) . And how much is the power of that source object? Human intelligence cannot even imagine it. To understand the nature of that infinitely powerful source object, is to understand this universe. Because we have infinitely limited knowledge of this universe, so we have infinitely limited knowledge of our source object (God) . And therefore, concept of God stays illusive.

Here comes the spirituality. To me, spirituality is the human endeavour to conceptualise infinitely huge universe (or its source object) . Therefore, spirituality is not a thing of people whose thought is dominated by fixed belief or dogma. To walk on path of spirituality, one must free himself from bondage of all dogma. One must set journey to infinity.

Who can dare to walk path of this uncertain infinity? Those who are keen to free themselves from all earthly bondage. Perhaps none can reach end. But we all can set our journey. And believe me, this journey is unbelievably beautiful. So much beauty, so much wealth scattered across the road, you would be amazed to see them.

Why would you suffer pain being caged within walls of greed and desire when you can have freedom from them? O man, come. Walk this journey. You would never repent your decision.
