What It Takes - Poem by Brian Potthast

I’ve finally figured out
What this life is all about
How to get anywhere
How to end in that place
That all seek in his face
I’ve found out what it takes
To succeed in this game
What you need to beat the fakes
Is not to seek fortune and fame
But try your best in everything
Do what is right in his eyes
Follow only the rightful king
Don’t buy into others lies
You must always stay strong
Never lose your hope
Stay away from what is wrong
Try your best not to interlope
Follow these easy ways
This is really all it takes
To stay out of a haze
And keep from pains and aches.
