What’s Done Can’t Be Undone. Poem by Konstantin Ananin

What’s Done Can’t Be Undone.

- I’ve shot a duck.
________________- What? In July?
You mustn’t shoot birds that are wild!
- It wasn’t, but Mrs. Tide,
Whose duck I shot, was quite wild.
- What did you do it for?
______________________- Bad luck!
I didn’t want to kill her ducks,
But a fox was among them.
It was my aim. I shot and…
Missed.
_________- What’s done can’t be undone!
- Why? Ducklings! I’ll buy her some.
