Whatever You Thought Of Me As The Messenger Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Whatever You Thought Of Me As The Messenger

Rating: 5.0

Shun me more than once you've done.
And criticized me in front of everyone.
You are the only one now left stunned.
By all of the evilness...
With a vindictiveness upon you that comes.
And a Sun you chose to ignore,
Darkens any light slipping away from your door.
Whatever you thought of me as the messenger...
Did not block the message.
Even though you believed,
Not reading it would stop it!
I've been assigned to deliver...
Any innovation The Divine creates.
And misunderstanding that has been your mistake!
Not mine.
