When A Dog Wanders Poem by Dorsey Baker

When A Dog Wanders

A wandering dog got lost
Deep in the wilderness
And could not find a way to
Get himself out
He went left he went right
Both up and down
But he still found himself lost
Because he had no sense of direction
He could not trust his senses
His senses they were way off
He was completely lost
Until the cat came along
Cats have a strong sense of taste
A strong sense of smell
And a strong sense of direction
Cats always know where they are going
The cat led the poor dog out of the wilderness
Because cats travel a lot
And simply because
Cats are just smarter than dogs!
