When Honey's Back From Work - Poem by Linda Bella Wassermeister

My heart skips another beat
when Honey's back from work.
I can sense another treat
when Honey's back from work.
Fluff the pillows on the bed;
in short order I'll be fed
and not just a slice of bread,
when Honey's back from work.
Back from work! Back from work!
In short order I'll be fed
when Honey's back from work.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

I wrote this as a song, but I don't know much about music, so I'm looking for someone who can write the music for this.

    You have music in your soul, Belle. This really is a well-done song! Nothing less than a ten from me. I'm sure you are singing in some heavenly choir right now! (Report)Reply

    Ere honey comes back from work,
    Keep a poem ready, surprise her,
    and reading this I'm sure you can do that easily.
