When I'M Not Poem by Heart of Ice Die Die Die

My poetry
the antidote for my poisoned heart
and soul.
I write
not for the publicity
or for the label
but so that I can be strong enough
for my family
They don't need to see me
like that.
They are my life
no matter how many times
they ignore me
hurt me
or say they don't want me around.
I love them
and I'm sorry for the times
when I'm not good enough.
I'll always try
to be better.
And I'll always be sorry
for the times when I'm not.
I'll always hurt
so you don't have to.
I promise you that,
if ever I was given the choice,
I would take all your hurt and suffer it myself.
To make up for the times,
when I'm not.
