Once your sunsets
your time is finally set
nothing resurfaces
time gone
is gone forever
who has since drowned
in the distant horizon
hasreturned ever
time only shall smile
at ye
naivety of humanity
it alone
on the wings of time
does flee
passed an immeasurable
eternity
know this all ye
time says
TIMELY
this poem has made me think there's hope in the world and that sunsets aren't the end but an everlasting reminder that life will carry on
And yes, I agree with Dr Swain, an excellent piece of work indeed.
Yes, time gone never returns, a lovely piece of thought so well writ, dear poet. It is sad, the truth is realised more by an old man/woman. It is valued more when duly gone, Not deemed valuable when left alone.
