When The Crow Cawed Poem by Akham Nilabirdhwaja Singh

When The Crow Cawed

Rating: 5.0

Once I saw out of the blue
a lone crow cawing,
long not seen and heard
perched on a roadside old peepul tree.
Dissapeared long ago from our land
I wondered from where it came!
Engrossed I in the memory
of my childhood days
so loving it brought to me.
Yet I felt it was lamenting
at not finding their age old habitat
in the land of their birth,
of their ancesters.
For a moment it was,
she flew away cawing.
And I pondered where it lives,
where it flying.

Crow is the loving friend of human beings.....and helps us in disposal of lot of wastes......loss of crow is a big threat to our environment and should be addressed with top priority...your poem is a nice effort in this direction...
