When Two elephants Fight. Poem by Nabakishore Dash

When Two elephants Fight.

Rating: 5.0

Nothing happens to the
mighty jumbos when
there is a fight.
'That the herbs and shrubs
in the field die'
must have come to
your sight.

Analogous is the situation
when two nations
engage in war.
Decision makers remain
safe within multilayered
security cover.

Neither they go to
the site of combat
nor do they pilot
the battle plane.
The drum gets the beats
but the drummer bags
the credits to reign.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM

A meaningful and wonderful poem with great wisdom. In this world, there are too much sacrificial lambs. Life is so much precious to be sacrificed for unworthy leaders. Liked the analogy.
