When You Cross My Mind
I remember the days
when loving you was an unending ache
yet the mere thought of letting you go
made me feel as if my heart would disintegrate
Looking back, I can't fathom why
I ever felt I had to live that way
where there was once a clinging flame, now only coals lie
I can feel it ebb as my heart inches farther from yours by the day
I can't say what it was
that made me hang onto you for so long
refusing to see all of the chaos and strain between us
In my mind, I pictured life a desolate wasteland with you gone
But I'm so grateful that time moves on
I've moved on too; picking up the pieces you left behind
each one a lesson - and they've made me so strong
today only sadness and thankfulness mingle as you cross my mind

Time heals everything.......Nika.........to move on letting go things is not as easy as it seems to be but.......... take this pansy blossom and study well its face.....don't you feel its power when plucked the wound is healed by nature........so does the same thing happen with life......pain heals but scar remains.....very well scripted...10
