When You Finish Your Swim In The Moat Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

When You Finish Your Swim In The Moat

Rating: 5.0

When you finish,
Your swim in the moat...
Cross that draw bridge.
Lock it and leave.

Make sure its up to dust and rust.
And take your fantasies...
But leave my key!

You live in castles in the air too much!
Not a bill you pay,
To keep this groove here going.
You have criticized my efforts enough!
And what you think attracts...
Pack it up and carry it on your back.
Find another you can leech,
And sack!

When you finish,
Your swim in the moat...
Cross that draw bridge.
Lock it and leave.

Make sure its up to dust and rust.
And take your fantasies...
But leave my key!
And when you cross that draw bridge.
Lock it and leave.
