When You Get Married [j.S] Poem by Kewayne Wadley

When You Get Married [j.S]

When you get married,
I hope it's as blissful as the stare in your eyes.
The depth of heartfelt halo's
And porcelain angels with cemented smiles.

When you get married,
I hope the isles are lined with the silver lining of all you dreamed.
Caressed tuxedos and sips of passion taken from crystal glasses.
When you get married,
I hope that the dress you pick shines as bright as your smile.
I can hear the music playing now as you softly walk to the alter.
As the pastor presents you to God,
Hand in marriage, with the one you truly love.

When you get married,
I hope that the groom grasps your hand with a look filled with true desire.
Awaiting to slide the ring not just on your finger.
But the hopes and dreams of turning a house into a home.
That the fire place of passion ignites not only the crackling sound of a stare that never burns out.
But the realm of eternity.
An equinox that spreads in all directions.
Blessed with the press of your lips against his in holy matrimony.
A love that truly stands the test of time.
As with the look of each others eyes, the constellations are soon to form a heart
That spreads across the sky.
When you get married
