Where Memories Take Me Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Where Memories Take Me

Peaceful is the autumn breeze,
that gently moves the fading leaves,
To fall upon the frosty ground,
They barely make the slightest sound.
It takes me back to summers gone,
Oh how the years have moved along.
The memories lead me to that day,
When we would walk our usual way.
For on the mountain top we'd rest,
Those days,
They truly were the best.
For there we heard our favourite tune,
The sound of birds,
full song in June.
Forever i shall live those days,
For thoughts of you,
shall never stray.
The autumn breeze,
is with me still,
But in my mind we're on that hill.
