Who Is Listening?
I ask the great singer,
"Why are you singing?
Who is listening to you?
See everywhere,
There is none, "
The eminent singer remains calm and quiet,
He says with a smiling face,
"Dear friend!
You see none,
But I see everyone,
Even in the midst of emptiness,
I see with my sensitive eyes
All are listening to my important song
And enjoying it to the fullest,
The song is proceeding
From this end to that end
And it is promising to cross all ages."
This is intriguing because you pose the situation and step back and let your reader decide whose view is correct and based on fact. I know I want the singer to see the stretch and depth of his song correctly, that it will give warmth and wisdom to mankind... but it is possible that no one sees him, no one hears him, and he is ruled by his own ego. This is excellent poetry, Anjandev, and deserves publication on the world stage. Top rating of course.
