Why - Poem by levignia jaise

The face in the mirror
Stares back at me
So young, so innocent
Scars on the mind don't fade easily

Those eyes have seen so much
But with tears never flood
Intoxicated skin
The nose has smelt blood

The ears have been shouted in
But the mouth clamped shut
The jaw tries to set firmly
The neck so nearly cut

Why
