Why? - Poem by Abhay Kulkarni

The winds are changing
It has been a while
Still I keep thinking of your sweet smile
Why? I don’t know

I let you play with my heart
But that's as far as I can go
You don’t love me, you don’t care
You say I give you a scare
Why? I don’t know

I wish I could hide you in my heart
Keep you there for eternity, never be apart
That will remain a dream, this I know
I have to move on, and let you go
Why? I don’t know

I can't see you, can't hear your voice
I don’t want to forget you, I have no choice
My heart bleeds and there is pain inside
I am a stranger to you, but I am the one who cried
The agony of loosing you, I cannot show
I have to forget you, let you go
Why? I don’t know

I only have words, and they are soaked in tears
Sorry, if they make you sad, I do know your fears
But what can I do, you can't guess how I feel
It will take time for my wounds to heal
Days will become months, months will become years
I will forget you, but it’s not easy as it appears
Why? Still I don’t know...
