Why Did I? Poem by Dislocated Heart

Terror in my eyes...
Back turned,
I was out..

Just another chance she asked.
Maybe I'll feel the same..
but my heart knew,
there was nothing to hold on to.

there was memories I'll never lose.
that door swings open,
Its my time to go.

The afternoon movies..
of holding hands,
kissing embracing..
was just moments..

My heart was never there..
What can I say?
I'm pulling away.. before you can get hurt..
by the stupidity of my actions..

I can hear each tear dropp fall..
the wooden floor creeps up on me at night..
making me scared..

why did I turn my bak?
when all I had to do was pretend..
and all was good.
