Why Poetry, Because Poem by Sandra Feldman

The inner palpitations of the soul... that tell it All. I wrote a poem which I do believe dramatizes this very view of poetry. It goes: A YOUNG POET DROPS HIS PEN, ASTONISHED/BY THE TWENTY LINES HE HAS JUST WRITTEN, /CERTAIN IT IS THE POEM OF TOTAL REALIZATION. I purposely exaggerated the scene to emphasize the wonder such an experience of creativity can be. And that's the name of my poem, WONDERS.
