Wisdom Poem by Jeri Martindale

Wisdom

Rating: 5.0

I hear her words falling down as a soft spring rain, wanting only to touch your face so that a bit of her might soak in your skin.
Wanting only to be heard, she whispers through the trees and over mountain tops stopping only for those who seek her, exploding with life as she shares her secrets.
Leaving only to speak with others while playing among the river bank; welcoming, beckoning for you to come in, so that she may smile at you enjoying her pressence, balance within.
I often hear her call for me, wanting to see her though going unseen. Walking toward the sound of her voice, leading me to a meadow which appears to be dancing slowly as I had never seen.
'Don't be afraid' she assures me; believe and dream are the words that she speaks, calming my being making it clear; her words could never be taken away, she lives inside my head each day.
