With A Thousand Eyes Poem by Kasia Fedyk

With A Thousand Eyes

Rating: 2.5

She was brilliant in her own way
her eyes resembled the moon
with a reflection of the sea
you could see the ships
passing by in a slow motion

When her hand
just so gently extended to touch you
you have welcomed heaven
for the first time

The gates so easily shut close
every time you try to reach
the top of the stairs that
lead you there
-try again, they're opened
with a blink of an eye
you are there

She sees fireworks
in every human heart
in many colors they come
and their explosions cover the surface
with what a human heart
has to offer
to feed the earth
and keep it that way

If you could see with a thousand eyes
what would you like to see?
what would you see?
