With Your Call To Me This Is A Day Of All Days (Villanelle)

Outside it's the beginning of a beautiful spring,
the redbreast calls the rain as it does always,
while all of the birds do of God's glory sing.

Here inside the mobile phone do insistently ring,
with your call to me this is a day of all days.
Outside it's the beginning of a beautiful spring

and this lively loveliness is my soul caressing
but raging on as without end the Russian war stays,
while all of the birds do of God's glory sing,

do flutter merrily slapping each wing,
with his three barking dogs a neighbour plays.
Outside it's the beginning of a beautiful spring,

as if to the world God does His care bring
everything about me His love portrays,
while all of the birds do of God's glory sing,

as if His protection reaches out to everything
and to man unseen and unknown is His ways.
Outside it's the beginning of a beautiful spring
while all of the birds do of God's glory sing.
