Without You - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Without you I feel so lost
and don't know what to do.
I feel cold and empty without
your kind, warm, loving care.
I'm completely and utterly alone without you.
I feel so lost without my partner
and guide together getting through it all,
the best times and worst.
Everything feels dull, plastic and detatched without you.
My head spins in scared confusion,
I'm so lost without you my only love.
What am I to do adrift in the middle
of this ocean here all alone?
My heart feels so heavy swelling in pain,
I'm numb in the worst of ways where
nothing seems real yet catatonically
the pain is sharp and so severe.
I hurt so badly and feel lost without you here,
a large piece of my heart and soul are gone.
Where are you darling one I so dearly love?
Will you come back soon and take my hand?
Then hold each other as in joy we cry and laugh?
Just holding one another for many hours,
saying how much we've missed each other
in words and reverent silence,
looking into each others eyes
and say I love you dear I'm glad you're mine.
Will you be coming back to get me my Queen?
I'm so lost and empty without you love,
wandering around confused without my one
to hold so close giving all my secrets too.
Without you I have no one to trust,
because you are my other half and Angel of true light.
I love you so deeply in my heart and soul
which I so long ago gave to you.
I'm lost without you in my life sharing all there
is with each other in loving pride.
Without you I'm so very sad and lost sweet Angel dove.
