Men of twofold moulds haunt this planet.
Both birds of feather be
Both can scarce be happy:
Pennyless, with many a want wet,
Powerless pomp, flaunting fury so fat!

The transliteration of the subhāśhita is given below:

dvau imau puruśhau lokesukhinau na kadāchana |
yah cha adhanah kāmayateyah cha kupyati an-īshvarah ||

dvau:of two types; imau: of these; puruśhau: men; loke: in (this)world; sukhinau:happy; na: not (be): kadāchana: ever, at no time; yah cha adhanah: he that though is without wealth, is poor; kāmayate: covets, yearns for (wealth): yah cha kupyati: and he who gets angry, shows off power; an-īshvarah: though powerless, not strong enough, cannot cope with/control (the anger) .
