World Poem by Josh Burnett

World

I fall down to the bottom
Abused, used and useless
We know that everytime we fight
It won't be alright
We've lost our mind
Because we are made for each other
We will never again be together
I fall flat on my face, disgraced
By your hand no longer will we be saved
Is there any way out
To take back what we've done now?
How did this come about?

Everytime I see you smile
I know you're thinking of him
I'm no longer what you need
But you still take my breath away
And when I see him in your eyes
I want to break his mind
Because he gets to hold my world
When the flame begins to die
All you have to do is cry
And I'm there by your side
Tell me where is he now
Becuase I'm going to shut his mouth
For hurting my world

We may be torn apart by the pain
But I was always there to stay
For everytime you called my name
I hope one day
You will realize everything I gave
I hold on to you this long
Hoping you'd find where you belong
And when we does you wrong
You have always ran to these arms
And I built you back up strong
In the end
I hope we can be more than just friends
I know it's going to take more time
Than you're willing to give
But haven't I gave you a life to live?

Everytime I see you smile
I know you're thinking of him
I'm no longer what you need
But you still take my breath away
And when I see him in your eyes
I want to break his mind
Because he gets to hold my world
When the flame begins to die
All you have to do is cry
And I'm there by your side
Tell me where is he now
Becuase I'm going to shut his mouth
For hurting my world
