Worrisome Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Worrisome

Worrisome,
Is the one who becomes...
Threatened by thoughts,
Of losing pretensions.
Sold to others bought.
And accustomed to ride high on lies.

These thoughts annoy.
And troublesome.
To one devoted and dedicated.
For an attention to get.
Now becoming more desperate.
As one's madness is revealed,
To observe it expressed.

Worrisome are the people.
Depressed unexpectedly.
By what they see to disbelieve.
Knowing their reality,
Has suddenly become a nightmare.
Neither to ignore or leave.

And worrisome is a truth to accept.
When dumbed down to dupe.
Then kicked around like a soccer ball.
With 'sucker' printed all over it.
And shown not to hide,
The doing it right before their eyes.
