Writing and Publishing
Writing is a vice. Many have this vice. Writing is not only a vice but also compels us to publish what is written. There are hundreds of writers and poets who are writing, composing and publishing. But very few are read by readers.
Internet has been helping many budding and senior writers and poets to have audience. The sales of the published books of many writers - budding or senior - are not encouraging. Still many of us write and publish.
That is why writing and publishing are compared to vice. Like any other vice it possesses the individual. The desire for recognition is one of the chief reasons.
Most of the writers and poets do not expect money from their publications. It is enough for them if they get some recognition as a litterateur. Readers and critics are critical and essential for the success of a writer, poet.
Despite lukewarm responses from readers and critics, the spirit of the individual creator is not affected and one continues to create. Writing though is an art, is currently not remunerative. Literary work's eminence and quality are also not gauged well and properly. Let the tribe of litterateurs is encouraged based on the utility and quality of their works
