Writing Real Or Writing Fake Imitation Poem by Terence George Craddock

Writing Real Or Writing Fake Imitation

Rating: 5.0

will a poet cast for meaning
will a poet cast for mechanics
will a poet cast for expression
will a poet cast for emotion
will a poet cast for forms
will a poet cast for inescapable ideas

this depends upon what a poet is fishing for...

form not well mastered
can produce hackneyed verse
rhythm will be more important
than spoilt contrived rhyme

really it depends
on what your writing
and expressing

some topics
tend to express
themselves naturally

more
sometimes better
in suitable forms

but writing
what we feel
know with honesty

passion
has intriguing
value

poetry is often
personal taste
favourite poets

to most people
what will you choose
real or fake imitation...
