Wrong Side Of The Bed (Fun Poem166) Poem by David Harris

Wrong Side Of The Bed (Fun Poem166)

From the moment I got out of bed
everything started to go wrong
the insole in my shoe
curled up into the toe.
I should have realised then
what a day it was going to be.
I took the cover off a septic tank
lost my balance almost falling in.
I may have missed that
but in the process of falling hurt my knee.
Using a hose to wash something out
the hose jumped out of my hand
and started to bath me.
Wet and forlorn I went back
to my caravan to get in bed again.
Hoping this time when I got out
things might improve, but they didn’t
as one of the lens fell out of my reading glasses.

What a day like this? I'm sure it really felt bad... But the idea of going to sleep to reverse situations sounds humorous.... The flow is gentle and beautiful...
